Again this weekend Crann Tara were in new pastures attending the Border Gathering in Dumfries. Although it clouded over on several occasions we were lucky and it stayed dry. The thousands of locals that attended seemed to enjoy the various tents and displays.
Our tent was very well attended and our boys worked really hard enlightening the spectators with the arms display, once again there were numerous photo shoots as the public stood side by side with our jacobites on duty. Also for the first time at our tent we had Nick displaying his Viking armoury and artefacts, this was very well recieved by all, and we must thank Nick for all his passion & effort shown on this subject.
There were other groups that had also ventured to Dumfries for the first time, and they were also very well recieved including Strathleven Artizans, Siol nan Gaidheal and Jamie and Jim as the Wolf Picts. It was a great day and we all seemed to help each other as we all have a common interest.
Also there was Highland dancing, a stunt bicycle team, a falcon display, a Viking group display and many other attractions from various fields. There were numerous Highland Games sports events and also music was played by the brilliant Gaberlunzie and then top of the bill were the Red Hot Chilli Pipers who brought the event to a conclusion.
